Amanda Thompson earned her MBA with a specialization in Healthcare from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2012. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Indiana University in 2005. She also previously earned her certification as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician and other professional certifications. She is a Certified Private Pilot and owns her own company that works directly with Airshows around the United States.

She has served and worked for the Federal Government, State Government, and Local Government sectors. She has worked in many facets, including but not limited to Education, Healthcare, Investigations, Criminal Justice, Information Technology, Federal Security, Federal and State Financials, Sales, Aviation, Military, and Social Work.

She homeschools her 11-year-old son and continues to further her education whenever she is able. She understands what working full-time, raising a family, being a homeschool mom, and navigating life takes to succeed.
